I currently am only accepting Empire Blue Cross and Blue Shield as an in-network provider. What this means is ALL other plans I am out of network. This includes any other Blue Cross plans in any state other than NY.
That being said I will continue to provide direct insurance billing on your behalf as a complimentary service for your convenience so you do not have to negotiate the insurance paperwork that can often be tedious and unpleasant.
My plans for Empire BCBS for 2012 are still uncertain as I am considering relinquishing my in-network contract status. Since nothing concrete is in the works and any contract withdrawal often takes the better part of 6 months or longer to actually be out of the contract, do not be concerned with this at this time.
